Trucks come again this year to collect paddy from Sbove Andeth Canal area

Counting the number of the bags to be loaded into the trucks, a lady buyer told that she buys this wet paddy from farmer at the late of 830 KHR per kilograms.

That seems to be the early stage of the second harvesting season this year while the first paddy was harvested just before Khmer New Year. During the peak season which is about in the middle of the harvesting time the cost of the paddy was lower than now (780KHR/Kg). Most farmers claimed that they could not make any profit selling at that rate. Now at this selling rate, farmer seems to be a bit happier, but still not sure how much profit they can make after paying the investing on pumping, fertilizer and pesticide etc.
